Hello ElectroPop lovers + addicts! This should be a really interesting bio page that makes you fall in love with us and our electropop madness, but I haven't had time with all the recording and stuff we're doing at the moment for our debut album "noises", but anyway, here's some quick info...

Staark is a brand new canvas for us two creative collaboratives — Kat Valerie (that's me!) and Max Luther.

We like to think that our style of electropop music is both familiar and yet "fresh", with it's distinctively evocative, bitter-sweet sound. I think “electro velvet pop” comes closest to defining our unique juxtaposition of pretty melodic threads, gritty indie-rock guitars and manic electro deliveries.

Some people say I'm like a Pop Bjork, or maybe an electronic Tori Amos .... "one of Australia's most stunning vocalists" blaa blaa blaa, whatever ... but I just hope that our songs cut through all the sugary pop crap and clutter out there and actually connect with you. Because, without you hearing our songs and feeling what I'm trying to say through them, it's all pretty pointless isn't it?
